Abstract
We examined all 42 gender-based discrimination cases decided by the Supreme Court between the 1981 and 1989 terms, with an eye toward addressing these questions: (1) Which interest groups have been involved; (2) What strategies have they employed; (3) What kinds of external opposition have they faced. We also considered how the answers to these questions relate to the success of women's rights litigators.
