Judicial Behavior

Profs. Lee Epstein and D. Klerman
May 2026

This course provides students with a unique opportunity to engage with studies that focus on the choices judges make—and to meet scholars producing the studies. In our view, a realistic understanding of judicial behavior, which conventional legal instruction does not usually convey, is essential to the understanding and practice of law.
