CONSTITUTIONAL LAW
Law 508
Spring 2014

1. Description This course provides an introduction to federal constitutional law and constitutional theory. As noted on the Law School's website, we consider the delineation of spheres of responsibility between the judiciary and legislature, the nation and the state, and the government and the individual.

2. Book. Lee Epstein and Thomas G. Walker. 2014. Constitutional Law for Changing America: Institutional Powers and Constraints, 8th ed. Washington, D.C.: Congressional Quarterly Press. With a case archive, available at: http://clca.cqpress.com/

Please note that this is a two-volume book. Because approximately 75 percent of the cases we cover are in Volume I (Powers and Constraints), you need not purchase Volume II (Rights and Liberties). I will post the relevant material from Volume II on Blackboard.
